Assertive & Pro-Active Reception Manager Needed!
The Role:
You will be expected to show excellent leadership skills and a track record of delivering results through your people. You will be responsible for delivering a seamless experience at the reception desk for every guest as well and dealing with any queries that may arise, related to your department or not. Passion for guest service is essential as is a real interest in stretching the performance of your team, as you will be responsible for recruiting, training and developing your people. The role also has a sales element, so you should be confident driving sales at the desk and via your team.
The role will involve working a variety of shifts, includes earlies, lates and weekends
Key Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for the day to day running of the department including our housekeeping team
- To lead and train your team to process accurate billing and ensure billings are correct and resolve any issues swiftly
- Responsible for our ledger accounts and ensuring payments are made within the agreed term
- To ensure correct invoicing
- Engage with guests and fact find for potential locally negotiated / corporate rates
- Reservation requests and group bookings
- Managing guest expectations and delivering great guest satisfaction
- To ensure our corporate clients are looked after and expectations are met
- Checking in and out guests
- Responsible for ensuring housekeeping standards and procedures are checked and adhered to
- Processing all enquiries and responding to guest feedback
- Knowledge of Rezlynx would be advantageous
- You will report directly to the General Manager
