hotel manager Aberaeron, Wales
Job description
The Feathers Royal Hotel in Aberaeron
Owned by the Llanerchaeron Estate until 1921 the hotel itself is an historical grade 2 listed building. It was built as a coaching inn in the early 1800's . The Reverend Thomas Alban Gwyn had an act of parliament passed to build a harbour and the town. Designed by a pupil of Nash it is said. The Royal was bestowed through a relative of Napoleon who stayed hence Feathers Royal and not Royal Feathers. George Borrow stayed during his wanderings around Wales, also Prince Charles called, Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton and family. Too many to write about. A newly refurbished grade II listed hotel with long tradition in hospitality, a large beer garden and an unique function room for hosting weddings, private and corporate events. Located in the beautiful Cumbrian coastal town of Aberaeron, the Feathers Royal Hotel and its restaurant the Osteria 1815 under new owners since 2020 quickly made themselves a name for good authentic home-made Italian food served in a classic setting.
