Job description
We're looking for an individual with a passion for engaging and educating children about health, social and emotional issues to be the leader in our Baby Room. This position requires a love and patience for working with children, an ability to create effective and stimulating environment , initiative to create new activities. Our Nursery Room Leader is responsible for running the day to day, acting as a role model for children as well as supervising and monitoring staff. The right candidate will be comfortable working independently as well as taking direction from superior staff members.
The successful candidate will be qualified to at least a Level 3 in Childcare and Education (or equivalent) and will have at least 2 years experience working in a nursery setting and ideally with babies (although we would consider the right candidate if they have experience within a nursery setting in other age ranges and are looking to work with babies).
Responsibilities:
- Be able to work with children and their parents.
- Interact with children and help them to develop social skills.
- Learn about child development and monitor their needs
- Attend regular training sessions on child development, safety procedures, and First Aid.
- Organise the children's play space; play with the children; prepare and serve meals for the children; and keep a safe environment for the children.
- Leads, motivates and inspires their room team, keeping the team engaged and performing to consistently high levels.
This vacancy is 9.00-5.00 everyday and all year round. The role is subject to enhanced DBS clearance.
