Your key responsibilities as Hospitality Manager will include:
- Adhere to all client and company Health & Safety policies and procedures at all times. This includes but is not limited to Food Handling, COSHH, Uniform Standards, Personal Protective Equipment, Manual Handling, Fire Regulations and quality control
- To ensure all displays, counters and seating areas comply with company and statutory health and hygiene requirements including but not limited to, Food Information Regulations and Reference Intake labelling
- Complete, maintain and update all Food Safety and Health & Safety paperwork correctly on a continual basis to ensure full compliance
- Responsible for the cleanliness of all displays, counters and seating areas, ensuring Health and Safety hazards, issues, near misses and accidents are reported using the appropriate reporting procedures at the earliest opportunity
- To demonstrate a can‐do attitude towards individual customer or client requests and strive to exceed customer expectations, modelling ESS Way values and behaviours at all times to colleagues, customers and clients
- Manage and drive the completion of all compulsory training with all team members
- Advocate the delivery of all company and unit profit protection procedures, reporting any issues to your line manager
- Conduct and monitor all stocktaking procedures ensuring minimal risk of waste
- To proactively up sell and demonstrate an excellent knowledge of products provided to customers and clients
- Attend and conduct regular training as directed by your line Manager according to the requirements of the company
- To take responsibility of all monies within the mess whilst on shift ensuring all Profit Protection Procedures and relevant paperwork is adhered too at all times
- To insure health and safety issues including all accidents and near misses are investigated within the set timeframe in line with company policy and procedures
- To work official and unofficial functions as required by your Line Manager
- To prepare, produce and serve food to the brand standard
- Ensure that uniform standards are upheld to the highest standard
- Ensure company marketing material is up to date and relevant to company standards
- Produce a monthly/4 weekly roster whilst adhering to the labour budget assigned
- Conduct investigatory, disciplinary and grievance hearings in line with Compass Policies & Procedures
- Be flexible and comply with any reasonable requests made by your line Manager including if necessary working within other units within reasonable distance
Our ideal Manager will:
- Previous experience in contract catering
- Experience of leading and managing teams to deliver results
- Track record of growing sales and retaining business
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong leadership with the ability to motivate and engage teams
- Ability to liaise with colleagues, customers and clients at all levels
- Quality and process driven with particular focus on delivering results
- Compliant with Company policies and procedures in line with client agreements
- IT Literate (MS Office, Email)
