Job Purpose
A Hospital Security Officer is vital in providing a safe and secure working environment for patients, visitors and healthcare staff.
You will be interacting with members of the public and have the capacity to act with integrity and honesty while treating people with respect in challenging situations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Monitor CCTV, alarm and car park
Assist in the prevention of acts of violence, crime or disorder
Attending and managing emergencies, including fire evacuation, conflict management and physical intervention.
Managing access control - for employees, visitors, patients and contractors.
Identifying and reporting Health & Safety issues and carrying out first aid if necessary
Maintaining records including incident reports and daily occurrence logs using computer-based systems.
Investigating and writing detailed reports on incidents, liaising with police and other third parties as necessary
Requirments
A valid SIA licence - Door Supervisor Licence
Document to prove eligibility to work within the UK if applicable
Excellent command of English – both oral and written
SIA CCTV Licence is not essential but useful
Excellent customer service, communication and organisational skills.
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in security
Be confident working in a hospital environment and have aware that you may come in contact with people who are unwell, vulnerable, or showing signs of distress
Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
Salary: Up to £11.00 per hour

- Weekend availability

- Wrexham: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- security: 1 year (preferred)
Language:
- English (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Driving Licence (preferred)
- SIA (required)
