The role

A vacancy has arisen for a full-time, fixed two-year, Horticultural Trainee post funded 100% by Friends of the University of Bristol Botanic Garden.

Based in the Botanic Garden you will receive on the job training in a wide range of horticultural tasks and work within the garden’s extensive plant collection whilst developing your plant knowledge.

What will you be doing?

This is a practical role working indoors and outside, sometimes in all weathers requiring the post holder to be physically fit. You will be primarily gardening and carrying out a wide range of horticultural tasks. You will be introduced to the educational work of the garden as part of your training and attend, depending on your previous experience, the Royal Horticultural Society’s Level 2 or Level 3 theory & Level 3 practical courses based at the garden.
