About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated person to manage our new Housing Options Team, delivering end-to-end housing options services in response to an emerging area of demand within Crawley.
Key responsibilities: The role requires a sound working knowledge and practical application of the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and associated legislation to provide support and guidance to your team on operational, legal and complex casework issues. The successful applicant must be proficient in leading a team, from day-to-day supervision through to performance management.
You will have:
- excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively at all levels
- a proven track record of developing and maintaining effective working relationships with local partners and stakeholders
Crawley is an exciting place to work, with a vibrant town centre and excellent transport connections. We recently moved into our new Town Hall so it is a great time to join us as we settle into our state-of-the-art offices with excellently designed spaces that facilitate collaborative working. We have a hybrid working set up which allows a balance of working from home with at least two days in the office.
Additional information
Fixed term contract for 24 months.
Full current UK driving licence and use of a suitable vehicle for work purposes.
A Baseline Personnel Security Standard check is required as part of this role, and that will also entail the successful applicant undertaking a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check.
