Prevention Support Officer – Richmondshire

The role
As our
Homelessness Prevention Officer, you will support staff in the delivery of the
housing options and advice service, developing support plans for each client’s
individually assessed support needs. You will provide tenancy support for all
clients in temporary and move on accommodation and will liaise with external
agencies, client’s families and carers as required.
The role is
Monday to Friday, you will be required to cover out of hours to cover the duty
line.
What you will bring
This is a very challenging role that requires someone who
is resilient, has empathy and patience to deal with clients with complex
support needs. You will also have:

Experience in good customer focus and building
good relationships. - Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- The ability to empower and enable clients to
make informed choices.
- Be able to work under pressure and manage your
time effectively. - The desire to learn.
Ideally, we are looking for someone who has experience
in housing, homelessness, or the support sector, although this is not essential
as full training will be provided.
