Home Tutor Wrexham, Wales
Job description
Home Tutor
Wrexham
£25 per hour
In partnership with Wrexham County Borough Council and local schools, Excell Supply provide home tuition for primary and secondary aged pupils in the Wrexham area who are long term absent from school due to illness. Due to increased demand, we are looking to increase our pool of home tutors to join the current team.
The ability to travel in and around Wrexham is essential.
This is a rewarding role whereby tutors become an important source of support and guidance for young people, delivering an entitlement of five hours per week of tuition, per pupil, during school hours, during term time. There is no requirement to plan lessons as work is set by the pupil's school and returned to be assessed. Your specialism is not important as tutors work with pupils across a range of subjects, generally English, Maths and Science, facilitating the learning experience as opposed to directly teaching it.
Whilst the role is only offered on a temporary contract basis, all of our current tutors have been working with us for a number of years.
The amount of tuition you deliver is flexible. Some tutors provide 5 hours per week whilst others provide up to 20 hours per week.
In addition to an hourly rate of £25, Excell Tutors receive holiday pay.
