A Home Support Worker can be employed to support people with domestic chores such as cooking, cleaning and shopping. They can also be employed to support with Personal Care, such as washing and dressing.
As a Home Support Worker you are there to support the individual with what matters to them, this can include supporting with practical tasks around parenting or supporting with activities such as going to the cinema or social clubs, hobbies such as walking, gardening, going to the gym and many other social activities. The role is very practical and supports both individuals, young people and adults with additional learning needs to be the best parent they can be. You will be making a big difference in the person's life and helping them to achieve their individual outcomes and goals.
Working hours can include early mornings, after school and evenings; rotas are set over 5 days Monday-Friday but can also include weekends where there is an identified need, however this would be in a planned way where possible.

This supports good supervision and collaboration between staff, building positive respectful relationships with families, listening to children and ensuring the work incorporates what matters to them, this at the heart of what we do.
