We are looking for part-time Care Assistants to visit older adults in the Horsham area of West Sussex. This job involves visiting our clients in the local community.
Home Instead Horsham and Haywards Heath is proud to be part of a National Franchise group that provides (non-medical), relationship-led Care and companionship service to older adults to helping them to remain independent in their own homes. We understand that everyone is different, which is why we provide care packages tailored to an individual's needs. We carefully match our Carers (We call them Care Professionals) with clients and ensure every visit is a minimum of 1-hour.
Pay Rates & Benefits:
- £12.25 - £13.75 per hour, plus paid mileage allowance.

Hours of Work:
- You will be required to work a schedule including early morning, early evenings, and alternate weekends
- You will have regular clients, so no constant changing rotas

Care Companion & Home Helpers Job Description:
The three main aspects of our role are companionship, home help and personal care. You will be willing to provide all these services as they do not differentiate between their clients’ needs. Listed below are some examples of visits provided:
Companionship:
- Taking a client to the shops
- Accompanying clients to doctor’s appointments.
- Socialising in the community.
- Having a chat over a coffee.
Home help:
- Light housework, washing up, laundry, ironing, vacuuming, or dusting.
- Preparing healthy meals or snacks.
- feeding and looking after pets.
Personal Care:
- Help someone get out of bed in the morning or into bed at the end of their day.
- Run a bath or shower and be close by in case they need assistance.
- Assist with dressing & undressing.
- Assist with toileting and all elements of personal care when required.
- Provide medication reminders.
A caring nature and a desire to support people who still live at home.
