Help for Homes is a premium service company, that always goes the extra mile, providing high-standard home help. We offer cleaning, dog sitting, elderly companionship and childminding (often a combination of all). We are currently oversubscribed with jobs, and have a waiting list of clients, all of which are word of mouth. This is thanks to our hard-earned reputation for always delivering 5-star service and value for money within peoples’ homes.
We are urgently looking to work with new Home-Helpers to delight existing and new clients. We’re looking to grow the business around reliable new team-members and share our success through rewards and incentives. We plan to expand outside of Saffron Walden into Stansted, and Haverhill.
The ideal candidate for this role will be able to; perform all elements of our service, and enjoy a varied schedule, however, if, for instance, you're a great cleaner, but not great with animals or your circumstances don’t allow you house-sit, that’s okay! We want to provide you with consistent work that works for you and our clients. Further, we’re happy to invest in training and supporting you in all areas leading to greater opportunities as the business grows. This position will be long term, however, Summer work may also be available.
About you
All Candidates:
- You’re able to independently and reliably travel to our Client's locations, with any necessary equipment - ideally in your own car
- You’re well presented, polite, respectful with good people skills
- You’re flexible on hours, times and adaptable to a variety of situations
- Peace of mind is important to our clients, so you’re DBS/CRB Checked already, or willing to allow HFH to conduct the process
- High standards! Our clients keep us employed only if they’re happy, so we ensure they’re happy by
Cleaning
- Some experience is preferable but not essential. All training and equipment will be provided.
For house/ pet-sitters
- You’re able to stay out overnight for short or longer stays
- You have the confidence to work alone, the initiative to solve minor problems and ‘just do’ what’s best for our valued clients.
- Goes without saying that you’re great with animals, dogs in particular, enjoy being with them and able to manage them safely.
- Able to work weekends and around our client’s holidays
For childcare/ elderly companionship
- Experience with - elderly care/ companionship and childcare
Job Description
Cleaning: We are looking for someone to join our friendly cleaning team for 3 - 5 days a week. Flexible times and hours can be made possible for the right candidate. The area will be within a 10 mile radius of Saffron Walden. Paid on the job training will be provided over the course of a week The individual may be asked to work on their own or as part of a team. Traveling expenses are paid, as well as a supplementary bonus scheme and rewards system. DBS check is required, as well as a driving license and use of their own car. Experience is preferred but not essential. There is potential for raises, training, and supporting roles within the company long term.
Dog walking, animal care, and house sitting: We are looking for someone to join our friendly dog walking and animal team for both regular and ADHOC work. Flexible times and hours can be made possible for the right candidate. The area of work will usually be within a 10 mile radius of Saffron Walden, however, sometimes the work may be based further afield. In these circumstances, pay and traveling fees will be assessed. Paid on the job training will be provided over the course of a week. The individual may be asked to work on their own or as part of a team for group dog walking. Traveling expenses are paid, as well as a supplementary bonus scheme and rewards system. DBS check is required, as well as a driving license and use of their own car. Experience with animals is preferred but not essential. There is potential for raises, training, and supporting roles within the company long term.
Elderly Companionship and childminding: We are looking for someone to join our friendly cleaning team on a flexible bank basis. This candidate will need to be flexible with time, be able to work through the night, and carry out errands confidently. The area will be within a 10 mile radius of Saffron Walden. Paid on the job training will be provided over the course of a week The individual may be asked to work on their own or as part of a team. Traveling expenses are paid, as well as a supplementary bonus scheme and rewards system. DBS check is required and essential, as well as a driving license and use of their own car. Experience is preferred but not essential. However they must be confident with children and the elderly tendencies. This role does not permit medication care, and is solely a companion based role/ babysitting role. There is potential for raises, training, and supporting roles within the company long term.
When joining the team you will have a trial period, however after completion, you will be in receipt of bonus schemes and incentives when goals and targets are met.
