Northumbria Healthcare has confirmed that it intends to provide home care services in North Tyneside and Northumberland, creating up to 250 jobs in the process.
As part of this launch we have an exciting opportunity for 22 home care assistants to join us on a permanent basis.
Providing high standards of care to adults in their own homes requiring supportive care to live safe, healthy and fulfilled lives.
This will include providing support with personal care, meal preparation and administration of medication.
Promote client focused care.
Assist the client in activities of daily living, promoting client comfort.
Deliver plans of care & safeguarding vulnerable people.
Contribute to outcome focused reviews.
Encourage client’s independence, choice, health & wellbeing.
Encourage client’s use of equipment & assistive technology.
Facilitate clients’ transition to alternative services & support if needed.
Engage in organisational learning and development and continuing professional development.
Provide excellent client care and support.
Recording Care – complete documentation and feedback.
Northumbria manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres.
