HLTA Higher Level Teaching Assistant Post: Higher Level Teaching Assistant Location: Westminster Type: Long term. Salary: £85 - £100 per day Post Start Date: September 2023 An exciting opportunity has arisen for an aspirational and talented HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant), at a Westminster Primary School - a nursery and primary school that takes pride in being a happy, friendly, welcoming and inclusive school providing education for children in Nursery from the age of 3, and Reception to Year 6. As HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant), the successful candidate will be responsible for the standards and progress of all the pupils at our Primary School. As HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant), the post holder will: provide our children and families with the tools to empower them to access the excellent educational opportunities have ambition and drive to excel our school on its journey to outstanding. have the skills to raise aspiration and achievement for our pupils have a sense of humour and the ability to be able to multi-task with energy and enthusiasm. The HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) will have: Meet Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards or equivalent qualification or experience. Excellent Numeracy/Literacy skills equivalent to NVQ Level 2 in English and Maths. Training in relevant learning strategies e.g., literacy. A proven ability to work in a team and on your own initiative. A high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults. The ability to use relevant technology/equipment. A can-do attitude. A commitment to the happiness, well-being, self-esteem and progress of everyone at the school.
