Summary
To support the qualified teacher as part of a professional team, plan their role in lessons, preparing, delivering, assessing, reporting and marking learning activities for individuals/groups. To provide advice and guidance for pupils and their families in relation to careers education and 14-19 pathways. Plan and deliver vocational learning experiences within Sixth Form and Compass Centre.
To organise effective work experience and work-related learning programmes to motivate and raise achievement. To advise and support staff in specialist areas within school and co-ordinate the work, management and development of other Teaching Assistants.

Essential Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent
- GCSE Grade 4/ C or equivalent in Maths and English Language
Desirable Qualifications
- NVQ Level 4 qualification or equivalent
- Level 6 Diploma in Career Guidance and Development
Essential Experience
- Experience of working with children
- Experience of working in a classroom environment
Desirable Experience
- Experience of supporting pupils with challenging behaviour
- Staff management experience
- Experience of administrative experience
