We are excited to be advertising this unique and exciting role for an Assistant Psychologist.
The post will predominantly focus on project work and service development divided into 2 areas. The first area will be supporting Trust workforce initiatives including a focus on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI). The second area will involve working closely with Professor Margo Ononaiye as the South East Psychological Professions Network Widening Participation Lead to support the EDI remit on behalf of the South East PPN. There will also be the opportunity to take on 1 day per week of clinical work in an appropriate service.
This role would suit applicants with previous experience of working in Assistant Psychologist or other similar roles and who are interested in broadening this experience and working at a more strategic level as well as contributing to work on equality and diversity in the psychological professions. It is a great opportunity to develop your experience and confidence and to prepare for future career options.
For this role we are particularly keen to attract applications from people from population groups under-represented in the psychological professions workforce and who can reflect on their own experiences of facing obstacles or discrimination in their academic or clinical career.
The postholder will be involved with a range of project and development work including:
- Supporting the development of initiatives to support retention and development of psychological professions staff at trust level
- Supporting the continuing development of resources to support widening participation in psychological professions career and training routes through the PPN
- Supporting the organisation of a conference event
