Job description
The High Jewellery Executive will be capable of developing the boutique’s performance to the highest levels of expectations (turnover, high jewellery results, Image & client servicing) through driving sales of high value product above £30k exclusive of tax.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Take responsibility for CHANEL’s Fine Jewellery business development as an expert both in High Jewellery and in VIP client management:
- Act as a team player by being independent with all operations and procedures within the boutique.
- Grow sales for products valued above £30K exclusive of tax
- Prospecting and sourcing new clients to recruit
- Develop and grow the local client market
- Reactivating sleeping top level clients
- Develop existing Medium Ticket Price clients with potential of higher spend (£10-50k exclusive of tax).
- Attending VIP events to cultivate and acquire new clients
- Developing an annual volume of sales worth minimum of £2M
- Be part of the action plan around building a strong collaboration with the Fashion/Couture Department, in order to convert top Fashion VIPs into HJ customers.
- Develop the ‘Special Request’ business.
- Convey the brand’s values to act as a CHANEL Ambassador
- Understand and embody CHANEL Style & Allure

Entrepreneurship
- The High Jewellery Executive is expected to show entrepreneurship in order to achieve an annual target of £2M with the agreement and support of the Boutique Management.
- Taking initiatives and combining a strategic and spontaneous approach will be key for building a strong and personalised client relationship.
- Mapping out, networking and reviving dormant accounts are the core of the business development.
- Propose an action plan to attract identified VIPs to visit Bond Street Jewellery Flagship.
- Offering an ultimate customer ‘concierge’ service at all times, as well as nurturing the relationships with the clientele are critical to delivery.
Mobility and flexibility
- Aiming to reach out to an international clientele, the High Jewellery Executive will be expected to show flexibility and ability to travel. The successful candidate will meet and entertain the clientele in a sophisticated manner reflective of CHANEL’s image.
- Travelling to France for training sessions and related Fine Jewellery events will also be required.
Autonomy
- The High Jewellery Executive is based in the Bond Street Jewellery Flagship Boutique and reports to the Store Director. In addition to the autonomy afforded to the role, the successful candidate is expected to act as a role model for the team, and support team members high value sales where required.

- Integrity and professionalism are core values at CHANEL Fine Jewellery. The High Jewellery Executive is expected to remain professional, presentable and well-groomed at all times.
Measuring success
- High Jewellery sales target achievement.
- Number of very high value pieces sold each year (above £500K exclusive of tax) including watches
- Customer database: recruitment and retention / Number of new High Jewellery customers per year
- Number of clients taken to events (local or international) and conversion rate
- Average discount allocated to High Jewellery sales. Conversion rate for ‘Special requests’
WHO YOU ARE
- Proven sales background in high luxury; real estate, fine art, fine jewellery, auction houses, top tier luxury fashion, exclusive clubs, hospitality with significant alignment with CHANEL.
- International experience with an understanding of various different cultures.
- Established network (mainly local) and trusted advisor of high net worth individuals with a proven track record of International and local client treatment
- Self-motivated and resilient individual with a determination to succeed.
- Very strong and thoughtful personal relations skills with clients as well as team members
- Curiosity for culture, the arts and attending social events.
- Demonstrated track record of acting as a point of reference and coach for a sales team
- Understand and evolve within the current context to develop and promote remote presentations
