The Position
Delivering pallets to an array of businesses within our postcode coverage area and making collections where applicable as instructed by the transport team.
The responsibilities of the role will be as follows:
- Deliver and collect all pallets safely as allocated
- Complete all deliveries within the timelines set out by the client
- Conduct daily vehicle checks on your allocated vehicle
- To report any defects on the vehicle
- To report any incidents that you or the vehicle are involved in from the location
- To comply with the company driver behaviour guidelines
The Individual
To suit this role, you will have and be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
- Hold a full Class 2 licence with CPC modules 2 & 4
- Strong understanding of the English language, both written and verbal
- Be a strong communicator
- Strong work ethic
- Good street knowledge of London (City and West End in particular)
- Keen attention to detail and a desire to get things right the first time
- You will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive attitude towards change
- Be a quick and eager learner whilst being able to ask for help and assistance when needed
- Able to use your own initiative to complete deliveries
- Personable, polite, and friendly with an approachable nature
- Good time management and the ability to prioritise tasks
- Pallet distribution knowledge would be an advantage
The Package
- £39,000 per annum
- You will be given full training and support to meet the requirements of the role
- 20 Days Annual Leave, excluding public holidays
