Are you an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver with a passion for delivering exceptional service? We are currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team at our Waste Treatment Plant in Cambridge.
Attractive Working Hours & Salary
- Monday to Friday schedule, 5am - 3pm (1-hour break)
- Competitive annual salary of £34,500
- Site located at CB25 9PG
- Drive Large Goods Vehicles to collect and deliver waste or recycled products
- Operate a variety of vehicles, perform vehicle checks and routine maintenance
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness both inside and out
- Conduct daily checks, report defects to the workshop, and download digital and analogue data weekly
- Adhere to safety regulations and legislation while operating vehicles
- Complete tasks within set timeframes and ensure customer satisfaction
- Handle paperwork, including Duty of Care information
- Complete daily rounds, tipping at disposal/recycling or third-party sites
- Report customer issues, accidents, or near misses to the line manager
- Comply with safe working methods and wear appropriate safety clothing
- Represent a professional image to customers and other road users
- Holds a full current and clean driving licence (essential)
- Possesses an HGV Class 2 license (essential)
- Demonstrates flexibility, commitment, and enthusiasm for varying duties
- Can follow instructions and adhere to safety policies and procedures
- Works well as part of a team, showcasing positive team working skills
- Has experience working outdoors in all weather conditions and maintaining high service levels
- Can handle prolonged periods of sustained physical effort

In a single year we process 300,000 tonnes of waste that is turned into energy. This generates the same amount of energy as approximately 600 million solar panels. Similarly we recycle circa 95,000 tonnes of waste.
