Our state-of-the-art facilities in Horwich are expanding and our new £4.2 million waste processing plant will be opening in January 2023. As a result, we are looking to grow our team of dedicated staff and we now have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team.
£13.00 to £14.25 per hour DOE
Mon-Fri, 6.45am to 5.30pm, alternate Saturdays 7am to 12.30pm
The Role
The post holder will be responsible for driving our company vehicles in a safe and professional manner, collecting and delivering various sizes of skip across our local areas. You will be required to complete documented pre-use checks on the vehicle and reporting any issues identified. The successful candidate will be required to liaise and communicate effectively with customers, members of the public and various site functions and represent the company in an appropriate and professional manner.
What you need:
We are seeking a candidate who can work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume operation. Previous experience within the recycling/waste industry would be advantageous; however, full training will be provided to enable you to drive our vehicles if you do not have this. The successful candidate will need to have good written and verbal communication skills and good problem-solving skills. Reliability, punctuality and good levels of attendance are a must.
