HGV Class 2 Driver
D & F McCarthy Ltd, a family-owned and operated business for over 145 years, supplying both resellers and caterers with quality, seasonal fresh fruit and vegetables (as well as food service, frozen, and prepared produce) with a fleet of modern, refrigerated vehicles from our sector-leading operating centre optimally based just off the A47 in Norwich.
We are looking to recruit a Class 2 driver to permanently join our team to undertake a daily, multi-drop delivery route. Our fleets coverage is predominantly Norfolk and Suffolk but extends out to Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire as well.
Requirements:
· Class 2 licence (category C), Driver’s qualification card (CPC), Digital tachograph card.
A minimum of 1 year’s class 2 driving experience preferred. No more than six penalty points a must. Experience of refrigerated vehicles, tail-lifts, and pallet trucks would be advantageous, but full training is provided.
Key Information:
· Pay is £12.75 per hour, reviewed annually.
· Starts from around 4am.
· Average working day would be 8 hours.
· No overnight/on-call working.
· Mon-Sat, but with a Saturday rota so not all are worked per month.
· Saturday attendance bonus of £25 and shorter working day.
· 28 days holiday.
· Well maintained fleet and keen focus on compliance with driver’s hours rules/working time regulations.
· Approachable and supportive transport department, on hand throughout your entire working day.
