We are looking for a HESQ & Product Stewardship Manager to support Supply Chain Operations across Europe, with a focus from factory to customer and our own Safe by Choice safety culture. The position can be based in any European country.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the HESQ and Product Stewardship team in SC Operations with team members around Europe striving for strong alignment with the line management in the SCO teams
  • Implement Yara and legal requirements related to Health in all units within Supply Chain Operations across Europe
  • Implement, drive and review the Safe by Choice culture in Supply Chain Operations across Europe
  • Implement ways to eliminate and mitigate major potential incidents and injuries related to both occupational and process safety.
  • Lead/ participate in third part audits related to the Supply Chain (warehouse and terminals, transport).
  • Develop and drive a team of Product Stewardship experts: Product properties and handling, quality and safety related items. Give technical advice on New warehouses & loading facilities as part of the contracting process.
  • Organize and provide training in all aspects of Product Stewardship to increase the competence within the organisation.
  • Monitor HESQ performance according to the principles of Product Stewardship in Yara's and Third party terminals through regular inspection and audit programs.
  • Manage the surveying & inspection activities for Supply Chain Europe.
  • Strive for continuous improvements and close cooperation with the Operational Excellence team.

Profile

  • Bachelor Degree related to Health & Safety or Operational Management
  • Good understanding of Quality Systems in line with ISO 9001/14001 & OHSAS 18001 (ISO 45000)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in an operational environment
  • Fertilizer / chemical industry knowledge and understanding would be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge and experience with Occupational Health Exposures and Ergonomics
  • Knowledge of Transport Industry and regulations.
