We are currently looking to fill a position of an IT Desktop Technician Specialist (entry level). If you think you have what it takes and the skill set that matches the requirements of the job and if you are ready to take the next step in your career development, we want to hear from you!
What will be your responsibilities:
- Identifying, troubleshooting, researching, supporting and resolving IT issues in a dynamic and fluid production environment;
- Setup, configuration, updates, backup, restore and maintenance including cleaning of desktop / mobile PCs, as well as all ad / move / change requirements in office and CNC production floor systems;
- Setup, configuration, maintenance of peripheral equipment, printers, plotters, time & attendance systems, and production related peripheral equipment;
- Setup, configuration, maintenance, documentation and management of phone systems and mobile communication devices;
- Assisting in the implementation, maintenance and administration of local (LAN) and wide (WAN) area networks;
- Assisting in the implementation, maintenance and administration of systems use policies, security policies and business continuity;
- Maintaining and documenting system and software inventory;
- Assisting in troubleshooting and upgrades of user business software and various CAD based design software in office and CNC production floor environments.
What we require:
- Excellent technical knowledge of computer hardware and software;
- Technical knowledge of current protocols, Windows operating systems and standards;
- Demonstrated ability to identify, document, and define problems, collect data, establish facts to draw and communicate conclusions effectively;
- Microsoft Certifications are a definite asset;
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills;
- Good organizational, time management skills and the ability to multitask;
- Experience is considered an asset.
What you will do as a Desktop Support Technician at MCM 2001:
- Provide support to users on day to day issues involving Windows OS, Microsoft Office, VIDCON software, various CAD design software, network issues and CNC production continuity issues for a user base covering multiple facilities.
- Provide hardware support for desktop PC's, laptops, mobile devices and peripherals including and not limited to printers, print servers, scanners CNC and production equipment.
