Compudata Systems is London and area's leading IT service provider for businesses. They are currently looking to hire a new help desk technician and analyst to add to its evolving technical team. This is an entry-level position with the opportunity to move upwards within the company as your skills develop.
Job Summary:
Provide a first point of contact for clients through our helpdesk via incoming phone calls or tickets. Troubleshoot and resolve issues through remote means when possible or provide notes for escalation team.
Assist the team in maintaining clients' infrastructure and solving day to day help desk issues as clients require. On-site work will be required so a valid drivers license is required, however work will primarily be performed from our office in London, Ontario.
Analyze tickets and infrastructure to identify trends and develop solutions. Reviewing reports and making suggestions for remediation and troubleshooting.
Work with the Service Manager in a ticketed environment to solve technical problems and implement solutions.
Assist with laptop / desktop hardware repairs as a Lenovo Authorized Repair Depot and as needed.
Ideal candidates will have:
- 1-2 years providing end-user support with experience with Windows and Apple based operating systems
- Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot technical problems
- Fluent in English both written and spoken
- Great customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and have strong organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to new processes and procedures in a dynamic environment
- Strong documentation skills, excellent verbal and written communication
- Technical background in supporting hardware such as servers, desktops, laptops and networking components
- Valid Driver’s License
Additional valued skills:
- Experience at an IT support firm is considered an advantage
- Personal interest in technology ( Having a homelab, ect)
- Industry Certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, Veeam, VMWare)
- A post-secondary education with an IT specialization
- Virtualization technologies experience
- Microsoft Server 2016/2019/2022 experience
- Experience with business productivity suites such as Office 365 and G Suite.
- Experience with networking (Sophos XG/XGS Devices, VLANs, Switching)
- Experience in customer service and end-user communication
- Experience in remote monitoring and management software, ticketing systems

Note :
This position will start in-office in London, Ontario with the flexibility to move to a partial remote position after training completes.
