Job description

Ryanair is looking for a highly skilled and experienced airline professional to work in a highly varied and dynamic environment within engineering. The successful candidate should expect regular overseas travel to accomplish their duties. This will involve building close relationships with Contracted MRO suppliers whilst overseeing Technical Standards for Heavy Maintenance inputs on the growing fleet of 737NG, 737MAX and A320 aircraft within the Ryanair Group of Airlines (Ryanair DAC, Buzz, Malta Air, Ryanair UK, Lauda Europe.) The role will give the successful candidate the opportunity to be part of a highly motivated and evolving team of likeminded professionals.

Based at Stansted Airport, you will be part of the Heavy Maintenance team, responsible for ensuring that Ryanair maintains its industry leading safety standards across a broad range of contracted heavy maintenance providers. Day to day, the successful candidate will be involved in the following:

  • Carrying out independent reviews of technical standards of work accomplishment at contracted MRO organisations.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvements both within the supplier processes and procedures and within the Ryanair interface agreement and other documentation.
  • Identifying industry ‘best practice’ across the range of suppliers and driving change to bring all Ryanair contracted heavy maintenance organisations up to the highest standards.
  • Reviewing customer audit findings and working with suppliers to ensure robust corrective and preventative action plans are implemented and enforced.
  • Reviewing safety reports, maintenance errors and near miss reports.

Identifying trends in reports and taking appropriate action as required.

The ideal candidate:

  • will have worked as a senior mechanic or certifying staff in an airline engineering and/or aircraft Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) organisation.
