Job description
British Gas are hiring!
Senior Revenue Protection Officer - Coventry
Join our team
As a Revenue Protection Officer with British Gas, you will be required to prevent, detect, and investigate instances of theft of gas and electricity by residential or business customers and work with our customers to find a suitable resolution for recovery and repayment. This will involve interrogating data leads and consumption trends, carrying out personal visits to our customer premises, and highlighting the dangers of energy theft through presentations to Police, Local Authorities, and other bodies as you build a network of contacts in your area.
Energy Theft is dangerous. Gas escapes and electrical contacts are a real risk, so you’ll need to have a methodical mind and great awareness to stay safe in the field and due to the nature of Energy Theft visits you’ll need a calm mind with the ability to reason.
Occasionally, you’ll need to undertake visits in the early morning or late at night depending on the property, so flexibility is a must.
We will give you the training and tools you need!
Our RPOs are fully trained and equipped to recognise and de-escalate challenging scenarios. We provide substantial training, full PPE, vehicle, and continued support from your wider team.
