Job Description - Hearing Aid Audiologist
Location: Newcastle Road, Stapeley, Nantwich, CW5 7EJ
Hours: 8 hours - 1 day per week
Salary: £10,140 plus 10% commission on hearing aid sales plus company pension
Holidays: 5.6 days per year
Qualifications: HCPC Hearing Aid Dispenser and Audiologist (or equivalent).

Since 1999, The Nantwich Clinic, (a family run business), has transformed the health and wellbeing of people around Nantwich, maintaining the lower limb and foot health of patients of all ages. The Clinic’s podiatry service has been part of the areas ‘front-line’ medical team, playing a vital role in assessment, diagnosis and treatment, working alongside and assisting the NHS. In 2019, the success of this business led to owners Tom and Gill Fox deciding to expand the health services they offer, to serve the wider community with a Health Hub covering all aspects of health and wellbeing in a convenient location.
The all-new Health Hub, situated on Newcastle Road, Stapeley, opened in February 2022 with its spacious on-site parking. The Health Hub encompasses a unique range of medical and health facilities, plus medical professionals specialising in various aspects of health and wellbeing. The Nantwich Clinic (an award winning accredited practice in Cheshire) wish to develop the multi-disciplinary team by recruiting a Hearing aid Dispenser (HAD) and Audiologist, to further benefit their patients.
The Role
The Nantwich Clinic are looking for an individual who focuses on the best outcome for their patient using their podiatry expertise and knowledge to be part of a multi-disciplinary team. The HAD will work collaboratively with colleagues as part of a close-knit team caring for patients together. The individual will be trained in microsuction for ear wax removal and a good, up to date knowledge of all ranges of currently available hearing aids to be able to give patients a good choice to fit their lifestyles and pockets.
The chosen candidate will ideally have a proven record of hitting or exceeding targets and achieving goals within their sector.
Key Duties will include:
· Developing and taking responsibility for a clinical caseload.
· Ensuring the patient has realist expectations which can be met.
· Carrying out assessments and ensuring continuity of care through reviews, ensuring that patients receive the appropriate treatment to better their health.
· Using appropriate communication skills and tools to communicate with patients and colleagues.
· Monitoring, evaluating, and recording patient progress, modifying treatment plans as required.
· Liaising and making referrals to GPs, consultants, hospital staff, as well as the inhouse multi-disciplinary team for the benefit of the patient’s health.
· Working as part of a team
· Attend and participate in MDT meetings
· Participating in training for new products and cpd.
· Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation in line with legal requirements - Ensuring patient notes are complete and fully up to date at all times.
Assisting with the training of other health care staff as required.
The Person
You will be confident in of all aspects of Hearing Aid Dispensing and Ear Wax Removal and have the drive to continually improve and develop your knowledge and understanding of the role. You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, self-motivation, be a team player and have a positive outlook. Good ICT knowledge and skills.
Above all, you must have a natural passion which truly cares about putting your patient’s wellbeing coming as a priority. You will enjoy taking the time to understand what patients truly need, to help make a real difference to their lives.
