Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced healthcare support worker. You must have excellent organisational skills, effective communication and interpersonal skills. You must be a team player and have a genuine interest in working in the community.
Previous community experience would be an advantage, as would phlebotomy skills. Patients are seen within own homes, and care homes in order to deliver excellent nursing care.
The main focus of the team is preventing unnecessary admission, supporting earliest possible discharge from hospital and enabling patients to remain as independent as possible in their homes. You will be required to support the District Nursing Team to deliver excellent evidence- based treatment and care to the practice population of house bound patients.
You will be required to have knowledge and experience to be able to support this role and an appropriate SVQ is desirable.
Our service offers regular supervision and supports training opportunities. You must have an ability to travel across the Fife-wide division if the service warrants it and to provide evening cover as required.
You will be required to work within a 24- hour, 7- day Community Nursing Service. The post will include working weekends and public holidays.
For informal enquiries, please contact Ann Beaton: [email protected]
Previous applicants need not apply.
A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.
