Job description

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Health Care Support Worker to join our team within the Urogynaecology outpatients department here at the Birmingham Women's Hospital.

You will be an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who is well organised and has excellent communication skills. You will be flexible and used to working under pressure and to tight deadlines. You will be an effective team player with a flexible approach who can plan and organise their workload, prioritising as required.

The post holder will work mainly within the nursing team, tasks being allocated on a daily basis by the shift leader. They will help to set up clinics and chaperone nurses and doctors as required with examinations and minor procedures. Assist the department manager in ensuring stock levels are maintained.Following appropriate training to complete baseline assessments.To assist in the daily cleaning and preparation of equipment and the processing of dirty equipment and linen disposal correctly.
Report and record all accidents and untoward incidents to a qualified member of staff in line with policy.
