An exciting opportunity has arose on Ward C52 for a full-time / part-time Healthcare assistant to join our team.
On Ward C52 you will be working on a fast-paced diabetic ward. Supporting our team of registered nurses, where you will provide direct care to ensure our patient experience is as comfortable and stress-free as possible.
The role is open to full-time and part-time hours. Please be aware that typical shift patterns are 07:00 - 19:30 and 19:00 - 07:30, across seven days of the week (including bank holidays).
We are looking for candidates with high levels of care and compassion and who demonstrate qualities of Team NUH. No prior experience is necessary as we support you through a healthcare assistant induction and support you to complete the National Care Certificate.

As you will be delivering hands on care within our adult in-patient clinical areas, we are looking for excellent communication skills and confidence in dealing with members of the public and the hospital multidisciplinary teams.
Whilst previous experience of caring would be advantageous, we are also interested in hearing from exceptional individuals without this experiences.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Please ensure you meet the essential requirements in the person specification prior to applying.
You will work alongside the nurses, assisting in admitting our patients, caring for our confused and acutely ill patients and assisting with activities of daily living and providing support to patients and relatives.
You will also be expected to assist transferring patients on chairs/trolleys to our step down wards. Cleaning, tidying and stocking up also is a daily task.

- 4 GCSE's A – C or equivalent, including English & Maths

- NVQ / QCF 2 In Healthcare or eqivalent
