Job description
To provide a sessional phlebotomy service for patients at times and on days to be agreed. To ensure that laboratory samples are correctly labelled and sent to the laboratory promptly. To record on the practice clinical computer system all patient encounters using templates. To maintain adequate stocks of medical supplies required to perform phlebotomy duties To assist with Minor Operations To assist with health screening and childhood immunisation paperwork To be proactive in helping the practice achieve maximum QOF targets Other duties as required but not limited to ECGs, blood pressures, stock rotation.
To undertake CPR training and other training relating to the phlebotomy service as required. To act as a chaperone as required to GPs and Practice Nurses. To participate in the induction programme of staff new to the practice
