Job description
We are looking for nurturing professionals in the care industry to fill the roles of healthcare and support workers to help our clients develop life skills required to live fulfilled lives. The successful candidates will work with clients to promote social inclusion, independent living and encourage clients to maximise their life skills and choices.
Duties and responsibilities of health care assistants and Support workers at Platinum Housing Support and Care Limited include:
- Building supportive, trusting relationships with clients·
- Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities·
- Supporting key clients to set personalised goals in the form of a Support Plan·
- Conducting regular key work sessions that are innovative and engaging in order to achieve Support Plan goals·
- Ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with clients within an attitude of ‘positive risk taking’.
- Providing support with daily living activities, including practical assistance where skills are not yet developed, to ensure that customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation·
- Proactive development of links with local statutory and voluntary organizations to provide a range of engagement opportunities for clients in the community·
- Involving clients in the design, development and delivery of the service·
- Empowering clients to ensure they receive the service and benefits they are entitled to·
- Encouraging and enabling clients to pay their rent and ensure that rent accounts are managed·
- Ensuring Platinum Housing Care and Support Limited’s Health and Safety policies are adhered to always and to uphold all health and safety responsibilities within relevant policies and local protocols·
- Adhering to all other Platinum Housing Support and Care Limited’s policies and procedures·
- Engaging in learning and development activity to increase knowledge and skills·
- Day to day instruction/ supervision of Volunteers/ Domestic Staff/ Contractors where appropriate·
- Undertaking any other duties consistent with the grade and nature of the post as assigned by the House Manager or Managing Directors.

Skills, Knowledge and experience required:
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent experience in social sector.
- Desirable is at least 12 months’ background experience in the health sector.
