Care Assistant in Nursing Home

Full-time, 36 hour per week, only day shifts available

Care Home in Bradford

Pay rate £9.5 per hour

Long shifts, 12-hour shifts, 8am-8pm/ 8pm-8am

Immediate start.

Situated in Bradford, the 85-room facility our Care Centre offers a range of specialist care for residents, ranging from Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s care, to care for stroke victims.

Who you are /person specification:

With your kind and compassionate nature, you'll love to spend time talking to residents, learning a life history, hobbies past and present, and what their favourite knock-knock joke is.

You'll take great pride in helping a resident to achieve the smallest of conquests. You smile through everything and you'll bring happiness to your work every single day.

A warm and friendly disposition

Good communication skills

Reliability, flexibility and motivation to work effectively with colleagues

Be able to follow instructions and direction

Good numeracy and literacy skills

Experience in a similar role for one year is mandatory .

The day to day job role:

Fully supported by your team, you’ll work closely with our residents, their families, friends & carers to provide strong & safe, physical & emotional care.

You will be passionate to empower & support residents to achieve even the smallest of conquests through encouraging choice, independence & dignity.

With unparalleled kindness, you’ll assist the everyday needs of our residents, from personal care & companionship to joining in with activities & events.

You’ll be highly organised with excellent attention to detail & a willingness to learn.

You’ll be talented in building strong & fulfilling relationships with your team our residents, families, friends & within the local community.

As part of the role, you may be requested to work some weekends.
