Home Instead are one of the UK's leading providers of care assistants and support workers for the elderly with over 249+ offices nationwide and we have a highly successful team of care professionals who visit our clients in their own homes, offering support and assistance where needed.
We are now looking for people who reside in Borehamwood or Potters Bar locations or thereabouts, (also Welwyn Garden City & Hatfield), to join our wonderful team of Healthcare Support Workers & Care Assistants.
We are recruiting new people who are seeking a career in Adult Care, to work in the community and who feel they have the right qualities to become one of our very special and supportive team members.
We are very interested in speaking to people who may not have previously considered starting a new career in Adult Care, but who now feel they have the wisdom, expertise, and common sense to embark on something fresh and new.
We really do not care about your age, or your previous work experience, as we believe life experience is more important. If you are worrying about not being able to get a job because of your age, worry no more! The role may suit early retired people who now wish to do something productive and get paid to do it. It will also suit those seeking a new life experience where they enjoy the idea of supporting an older or vulnerable person live a better and happier life. Our job opportunities really suit people who need flexibility in their working patterns, so we are happy to discuss with you your individual availability and see if we can accommodate the hours you wish to work, we will if we can! Mornings, afternoons and evening work, weekends or a mixture are available.
We do require that you have a car - this is essential to enable you to travel between clients each day. We also require you to be able to work on a Saturday and Sunday on alternate weekends. We cannot offer sponsorship to overseas candidates at this time.

We will require you to visit multiple clients each day and undertake a number of tasks such as:
- Companionship and wellbeing support
- Help with everyday tasks from meal preparation to light housework
- Helping with washing, dressing and continence care.
- Helping your client access their community
We offer in return:
- Salary: £11.00 - £22.50 per hour (average rate is £13.00 per hour)
- Travel Allowance of £30 pence per mile
- Fully funded and paid training

We offer all new members of staff Award Winning Training comprising of e-learning and in-house workshops, leading to a nationally recognised Certificate in Care on successful completion.
