We are looking for passionate and empathetic Healthcare Assistants to work nights on an as & when basis in the Rotherham Community. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain some insight into the great work that we do. Title: Healthcare Assistant Salary: £11.45 basic + enhancements: £16.14 per hour for weekday nights and Saturday £20.95 per hour for Sundays and Bank Holidays Hours : As & When Nights Contract Type: Fixed Term until March 2024 (possibility to extend) Location: Community Based - Rotherham Closing date: 30th October 2023 Interview date: TBC What we are looking for: Relevant community experience Continued access to NHS Pension Scheme (subject to eligibility) S/NVQ Level 2/3 qualification or an equivalent certificate/diploma is desirable. Emotional strength and the ability to work on your own are crucial, though we will of course provide excellent on-going training and support. With experience of End of Life care, you're ready and able to make a real difference. Ours is a one-to-one approach to care, so you're sure to enjoy plenty of meaningful contact with patients and their families - usually in their own homes. Working without close supervision, you'll have the opportunity to use your own initiative in line with the patient's established care plan. You'll be required to carry out a range of care duties including helping patients meet their hygiene needs, monitoring symptoms, assisting with medications and keeping detailed records and emotional support to the patient and their families.
