Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Days: Monday to Sunday (covering up to 5 days per week)
Hours: 40 hours per week (including travel time). Approx. 10+ hour shift.
Locations include: Reading, Frimley, Slough and Wexham
Salary: £24,000.00 + 0.45 per mile
Full Valid UK driving licence and access to a car is required for his role.

Role & Responsibilities
For all of the roles and responsibilities below no experience is necessary training will be provided.
As a Healthcare Assistant you will:
- Set up the up-consultation rooms for the clinician with eye drops / stock/equipment/laptop ready to start the clinic.
- Ensure infection control measures (hand sanitizing) are in place when patients attend their appointment.
- Complete all Covid-19 screening questions and any other relevant ID checks.
- Conduct eye examinations such OCTs and visual fields.
- Escort patient to the onsite clinician for further consultation / additional testing’s.
- Dispose of any clinical waste as per sites policies.
- Ensure all reports are completed along with outcomes and provide any additional support related to admin.
- General housekeeping of rooms used.
- Take laptop and Pachymeter and paperwork to be archived back to the office at the end of the day.
** Please note that as we run a 7-day service you will be required to work 5 out of 7 days. Shift patterns are generally between 07:00/ 07:30 - 17:30/18:00. Some of locations will include Landmark (RG2 6UU), West Berkshire Community Hospital (RG18 3AS) & Woosehill Medical Practice (RG41 3DR). One of the above locations will be your main base.
Training and Development
You will be enrolled on our 2-week comprehensive training course from day 1 of your employment, which will equip you with all the skills and knowledge you require to fulfil your duties as a Healthcare Assistant.

About you

However, before you can start this new, exciting adventure within the company we will need to ensure that you are legally eligible to work with us. This means that your role will be subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and the provision of your right to work documentation at the interview stage.
Your training will involve a corporate induction on your first day and then shadowing an experienced team member, which will provide you with the skills and knowledge to be successful in the role. This training is a vital part to the start of your career with us, you will need to commit to full attendance during this time.
