From 1st December 2022 all staff working on Agenda for Change Band 2 will be paid £10.90 per hour, which is equivalent to the current Living Wage. Enhanced rates for evenings, weekends and bank holidays still apply.

The Plastic Surgery Outpatient Team would welcome applications from Healthcare Assistants who enjoy working independently and working within a team in being instrumental in providing patient focused care.
The successful candidate will join a well-established team and will need to be flexible and adaptable, a good team player with the ability to work well on their own initiative and willing to take on a variety of duties, whilst having the ability to maintain attention to detail.
You will ideally have knowledge or experience within plastic surgery and/or surgical scrub skills.
Within this role, there are numerous learning opportunities. We offer a supportive working environment and we are committed to the development of our staff.

Some of the nursing skills needed for a fast paced working area such as Plastic Surgery Outpatients are:
- The ability to work both independently and as part of the wider Multidisciplinary Team
- Supporting and assisting your consultant colleagues in the smooth running of their clinics.
- Acting as a chaperone.
- Surgical scrub skills for supporting our outpatient minor surgical and emergency trauma lists. However if you do not have these skills, we will support you in obtaining competencies to support this service.
