Job description

We are looking to recruit Healthcare Assistants in our Planned Division who will come and join our friendly clinical support teams at #TeamIOWNHS.

The Healthcare Assistant will support the clinical team in helping the patient in all activities of daily living, with both direct and indirect supervision as delegated by a registered nurse. In addition, you will maintain patient comfort, dignity and privacy at all times, as well as prepare patients drinks, serve meals and provide assistance as required.

This post can offer either full or part time hours and involves shift work which includes nights, weekends, and bank holidays.

We will be holding a Planned Care Division Healthcare Assistant open afternoon on the 23rd May, where you can find out more information or be interviewed for the post This will be held at the Education Centre, St Mary's Hospital between 09:00am and 11:00am.

As part of our Healthcare Assistants team in the Planned Care Division, you will be responsible for providing excellent care to patients. Within this role, you will be supported to complete your care certificates and progress towards an apprenticeship in their chosen field if you have the desire and passion to do so.

To be an active member of the team, assisting the registered nurses with the provision of clinical care in a safe environment to a defined caseload of patients, assisting reception and housekeeping staff in the delivery of support services.

The role includes working in other departments across the Trust and evening and weekend working and night shifts.
