Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and competent healthcare assistant (HCA) to become part of our friendly team at the Lymington Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) in the New Forest, Hampshire. This is an exciting opportunity for a HCA to work in a busy and dynamic department and support the clinical team with managing the influx of patients throughout the day.
The successful applicant should be prepared to work either 8 or 12 hour shifts during the department opening hours. The shifts will comprise of supporting the clinical team with delivering a high standard of care for any patient that attends as a walk in. A number of the tasks that the healthcare assistant will be involved with will include wound care/dressings, fracture management and plastering, obtaining clinical observations and ECGs, and assisting with emergencies. There is also an added expectation that the HCA will support with the smooth running of the department with maintaining treatment room stock levels, ordering supplies, and covering the reception desk where needed.
