Job Summary
Cleveland Clinic London has one of the largest, most technically advanced facilities in the U.K. private healthcare sector. Our hospital’s intensive care unit (ICU) is equipped to expertly manage the most serious medical conditions and complications. A hospital outreach service supports ward nurses and doctors who are caring for acutely ill inpatients, ensuring monitoring throughout their stay, as well as 2 Dialysis Bed Rooms for our patients’ privacy and comfort.
Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Healthcare Assistant to join our Intensive Care Unit Team.
This is a full time, permanent position would require the post holder to work up to 37.5 hours per week.
- Monday to Sunday Long Days– 0800-2030
- Monday to Sunday Nights – 2000-0830
- Bank Holidays – 0800-2030 & 2000-0830
What will your duties include?
- Develop competence in carrying out tasks such as taking and recording basic observations, assist patient with hygiene, nutritional requirements, perform tests such as urinalysis, Blood glucose etc. ways working in a manner that promotes privacy and dignity.
- Notify nursing caregivers of changes/concerns in patients’ condition.
- Recognise own limitations and request assistance as necessary.
- Use computer system (EPIC and Windows) to access and update patient records
- Participates effectively at the Quality improvements initiatives for the ward ensures that the Ward KPI’s are achieved and are aligned with CCL quality standards. Contribute to achieving quality and improvement KPIs.
- NVQ level 3 or higher; Care Certificate.
- Demonstrates broad experience in the acute care field.
- Track record of achievement of objectives in present and past jobs in the clinical field.
- Requires critical thinking skills and the ability to work autonomously.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action and adapt to changes.
- 25 days Annual leave plus 8 days Bank holiday a year
