Due to an expansion of our department, we have an opportunity for a Health Care Assistant to join our committed and motivated team at the acute stroke unit at the Royal Derby Hospital.
It consists of an 8 bedded hyper acute stroke unit and 30 bedded acute stroke ward.
We are supported by Matron, 11 Senior Sisters/Charge Nurses, and a Clinical Educator Team who will support and provide opportunities for training and development.

We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant who is reliable, hardworking and who is committed to providing excellent patient care. You will be expected to provide a wide range of duties to ensure our patients receive the best care possible.
Shifts consist of long days and nights.
Ideally you will have previous experience in a care setting, with an NVQ or equivalent in Health and Social care, be an attentive listener and have a flexible approach to working.
Numeracy and literacy skills are essential.

Additional skills such as taking blood will be available to learn and competency packages to complete.
