An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 3 Healthcare Assistant
West Middlesex hospital are looking for a dedicated, compassionate highly motivated and patient focused Band 3 Healthcare Assistant to join the team working Monday to Friday.
The successful candidate must have a genuine enthusiasm for caring and supporting women who have gynaecological issues who attend the Department.
You will work as a member of the multidisciplinary team supporting the efficient running of a busy Gynaecology clinic alongside other Healthcare Assistants, Nurses, Specialist nurses and Doctors providing high standards of care and who will support you in delivering a high quality patient centred service.
The clinic incorporates early pregnancy unit, menopause, urogynaecology, 2 week wait cancer patients, general gynaecology, fertility, post-menopausal bleeding, and endometriosis and fertility services. We also offer outpatient hysteroscopy, colposcopy and assist termination of pregnancy patients.

The post holder works under the indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse. They will work within the boundaries of their existing and developing skills at all times.
The post holder is expected to maintain high standards of care, managing their time, tasks and resources effectively. The key areas within that the healthcare assistant will be expected to support include the colposcopy and hysteroscopy service which are vital tertiary clinics within the department.

- Chaperoning, and assisting in clinics , ensuring adequate stock is available and to ensure the service runs effectively by supporting the relevant practitioners.
- Cleaning equipment and uphold infection control standards and policies.
- To promote and safeguard the wellbeing of patients, their families and colleagues and escalate any concerns to the nurse in charge.
- To assist with the Termination of Pregnancy service and provide any duties that pertains to the patient group.
- To assist with outpatient procedures in gynaecology and early pregnancy unit.
