Job description

You will be a part of an integral multi-disciplinary team, working collaboratively with services locally and regionally to provide a high standard of patient care and ensure an excellent patient journey through our services and beyond. There will be opportunities to further develop your skills and complete the relevant courses to support with the smooth running of the department. The Ophthalmology Nursing team is a progressive force that operates across Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust, including the main site and smaller clinics within the Trust and in Keats House in Bush Fair, Harlow. Applications are welcomed for any Healthcare Assistants who are passionate and enthusiastic about providing exemplary patient care. To work as part of a multidisciplinary team assisting with patient care and other departmental-related duties as directed by a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife to ensure kind, safe, and compassionate care for patients. Work in a self-motivated and professional manner. To work well with all disciplines of staff and may be required to take direction from other professional staff from time to time. Required a courteous and helpful approach to patients and staff is essential. A sensible, safe conscious approach to work is necessary at all times as well as strict observance of the Trust’s policies and procedures. The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) provides a full range of general acute, outpatient and diagnostic services at The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, the Herts and Essex Hospital in Bishop’s Stortford, and St Margaret’s Hospital in Epping. We employ 3,500 staff and serve a local population of around 350,000 people living in west Essex and east Hertfordshire, centred on the M11 corridor and the towns of Harlow, Bishop’s Stortford and Epping. Our extended catchment area incorporates a population of up to 500,000 and includes the areas of Hoddesdon, Cheshunt and Broxbourne in Hertfordshire. Adhering to health and safety requirements at all times. Understanding the importance of reporting concerns relating to patient care. Keeps accurate and complete records applicable for job role.
