The Role: What you will do?

The Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to be at the start of a brand-new service going live in October. We are looking for people with a genuine interest in skin. If you are a people person this could be your time to shine in our service. We are on the lookout for positive like-minded colleagues driven by providing first-class patient care. You will contribute to and scope the excellence of care.

You will work closely with the community dermatology team, supporting patients to access effective and timely care.

  • Will provide a first point of contact for patients within the community, you will be playing a key role in ensuring that the service runs smoothly and efficiently
  • Organising and supporting our clinicians and colleagues in the day to day running of the community clinics
  • Working independently, running medical photography clinics across the community.
  • Ability to prioritise patient care whilst carrying out tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Our Dermatology service is run from sites across the community, with multi-room clinics that support MDT working. Telephone and video consultations are also part of our core offering, giving flexibility to our team to work from home.



All staff are provided with first in class IT equipment, with access to secure and stable patient administration systems that are user friendly, enabling our clinical team to focus on their clinical role, knowing they have all the tools they need.

Skills and Experience:
Essential:

  • HCA care certificate
  • Experience working with Service Users/Patients
  • IT Skills
  • Demonstrates high standards in written and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage own caseload and time

Desirable:

  • NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care
  • Experience of working with people who have dermatology conditions
  • Experience of working in a primary care, community or hospital healthcare setting
  • Experience of supporting minor surgery
