Job description
Ward D1/D3 are looking to appoint healthcare assistants to support them in the delivery of safe, personal and effective care to their patients. We provide care to a wide range of patients under general medicine, Diabetes and Endocrinology. Ward D1/D3 is a 40 bedded general medical ward with a speciality in Diabetes and endocrinology. The ward lies within the Medicine and emergency care division. This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly and supportive Team The successful candidate will work within the multidisciplinary team to deliver care to our patients. Carry out assigned tasks involving direct care in support of and supervised by a registered nurse Assisting patients with personal care including hair , teeth, nails Helping to prepare patients for meals and assist in the service of meals Assist in the care of pressure areas and the incontinent patient Helping with feeding of patients Assist with the keeping of routine charts – Fluid balance, Food record charts , intentional rounding Experience in a care setting is preferable but not essential as full training will be given Established in 2003 East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust (ELHT) is a large integrated health care organisation providing high quality acute secondary healthcare for the people of East Lancashire and Blackburn with Darwen.
