The role
The University of Bristol Students’ Health Service is a GP practice for University students and their dependents. We are looking to recruit a healthcare assistant to work 2 days per week- Monday & Friday, 8am-4pm.
We are a close and friendly primary care practice team that includes GPs, nurses, pharmacists, psychologists and other allied professionals at an award winning university health service. Situated within a purpose built practice in a beautiful setting.
We would encourage a visit to the practice to meet the team prior to application.
What will you be doing?
You will support the work of the clinical staff, and have responsibility for a range of clinical and administrative duties, e.g. phlebotomy (taking blood), taking observations, urinalysis, acting as a chaperone for coil clinics, ordering medical supplies, and stocking up clinical rooms.
You should apply if
You are a highly motivated, enthusiastic, Healthcare Assistant with experience in a Primary Care setting, ideally with a special interest in the health of young people.
The grade of the post will be dependent on experience and qualifications. Please see the job descriptions for both grades on the attachments below.
Additional information
Contract type: Open ended
Work pattern: 14 hours per week. Monday & Friday- 8am-4pm
Grade: D or E- dependent on experience.
Salary range- £21,761 (£11.96 per hour) to £25,948 (£14.26 per hour) based on 35 hours per week- depending on experience (see job descriptions).
Interviews are likely to take place on 26th/27th July.
