Healthcare Assistant – Eye Centre
We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our Eye Clinic based at The London Clinic on Harley Street, W1G 6AU with a salary range on offer of £25,850 - £29,524 per annum dependent on skills and experience.

Job Profile
As a Healthcare Assistant you work under direct or indirect supervision of the nursing staff and Consultants to provide assistance with the overall day to day operation of the clinical & consulting outpatient’s rooms in multiple buildings ensuring overall care and safety to the patient, visitors and staff.
- Job Type: This is a full time, permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Shifts: We operate a mixed shift pattern - Earlies / Lates.

Key Duties
- Support the nursing team to deliver high quality patient centred care.
- Assist in delivering a high standard of holistic care to patients, recognising their individuality, and promoting privacy and dignity at all times
- Assist Consultants with specified procedures that may be performed in the outpatient setting, charging and writing notes for these on the Clinic computer system and documenting activity
- After training and completion of a competencies program carry out a variety of diagnostic tests and scans on patients ensuring the results are accurate and reliable and performed using set parameters these tests will include testing visual acuity, intra ocular pressures, visual fields, OCT scans, corneal imagery.
Skills & Experience
- NVQ in Care Level 3/4 or equivalent
- Previous experience working in an outpatient area within a hospital.
- To have ophthalmic Background.
· Ability to use technical equipment after training e.g. fields machines, OCT, Glucometers etc
- To hold a Care certificate or be working towards this.
