The post-holder will work under the remit of the specialist nurses, working within the clinic. Main duties are working with the nursing team to support patients on their fertility journey from assisting with initial investigations right through to being present at events following treatments.
This includes a wide range of administrative skills to book patients in for treatment, generating treatment plans and ensuring all documentation is complete ensuring regulatory requirements are met. This role is also a very practical role requiring a dynamic individual who is competent to assist with procedures throughout that journey to include theatre running, phlebotomy and many more tasks.
Roles and responsibilities
- You will be responsible and accountable for the delivery of high quality care to meet the needs of the patients.
- Under direction, you will develop skills in the instruction, advice and care of couples throughout their treatment process.
- Multi-skilled developing approach including:
- Phlebotomy
- Patient contact - in person, on the telephone /teams and via email
- Complete patient and group paperwork on time and with accuracy
- Assisting in Theatre and Recovery – to include training to assist with ultrasound scans during procedures.
- Assist with the general stocking of clinical areas, ordering of consumables
- Other duties as instructed by your line manager

The post holder must maintain confidentiality of information about patients, employees and other Company business in accordance with the National and European data protection legislation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience as a Health Care Assistant
- IT literate
- Interest in Women’s Health
- Good communication skills
- Previous experience in Fertility Clinic or Outpatients department desirable
- Phlebotomy skills desirable
Location - GCRM - Glasgow
Salary - Experience Dependent
Hours - 37.5 Hours per week
Holiday Entitlement: 27 days per year + Bank holidays
Pension: Dual contribution pension scheme.
