An exciting opportunity has arisen to work at HMP Littlehey in the Health Care Team. We are looking for an individual who possess a caring, positive attitude and is dedicated and conscientious. Good communication abilities, compassion and organisational skills are paramount. The candidates will have the ability to lead by example and work well in a team. A strong interest in working with prisoners is essential.

HMP Littlehey is a Category C prison situated in the picturesque village of Perry in Cambridgeshire and has free parking. The prison accommodates 1200 adult male prisoners.

The successful candidates will benefit from an extensive supernumerary induction period, alongside regular supervision and appraisals and be encouraged to undertake training so why not drop us a line and come and have a look around.

  • Display a professional behaviour and attitude at all times in line with NHFT values.
  • Support the implementation of the Trust’s policies and procedures. Be able to perform clinical observations, report abnormalities, escalate concerns and document on System One accurately.
  • Follow appropriate infection prevention and control guidelines in order to protect themselves, colleagues and residents.
  • Assist in the provision of clinics including phlebotomy, vaccinations, ECGs and secondary reception screens.
  • Be able to maintain accurate, timely and legible records of resident’s care, including data input and statistical information, as required To contribute to the ordering, distribution, stock control and maintenance of Healthcare equipment and resources.
  • Will participate in all aspects of healthcare admin duties as required including booking appointments, scanning of resident’s information and answering queries Participate in health promotion events and clinical audits.
