Location: Aztec West, Bristol

Salary Range: £21,000 - £24,000 per year depending on experience

Contract: Full Time

Overview of the role

Reporting to the Theatre Manager the Healthcare Assistant (HCA) supports the delivery of high quality and high-volume cataract surgery. Theatre HCAs assist the wider theatre team affording training opportunities with both pre and post operative care and also fulfilling a scrub role within theatre.


The successful candidate should have their own transport as training will be carried out not only at our site in Frome but also at our sites in Aztec West.

  • Highly organised with the ability to multi-task.
  • Enjoys working with a range of people, tailoring approach to a diversity of patient needs.
  • Outstanding telephone manner
  • Self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative and escalate matters where appropriate
  • Works well within a tight team.

Desirable Requirement

  • Experience working as a Healthcare Assistant in a hospital or clinic environment.
